The Melissa Guide to Lazy Oaf

Admit it - are you a Lazy Oafer?

Melissa wearers are known to be trend conscious - Melissa's DNA is to take recycled, sustainable plastics and make it fashion. And a big part of what makes Melissa special is that it holds hands with incredible creators from the world of art, architecture, fashion and design. Just this year we have already seen collabs with brands such as Viktor & Rolf, Y/Project and Disney.

But for many of us, Lazy Oaf has a special place in our hearts.

London-based Lazy Oaf is a unique fashion brand based around bold prints, fun colours and a whimsical nature - which has made it a perfect partner for Melissa. Remember last season's Melissa x Lazy Oaf Kick Off which sold out in a matter of hours? You will remember the bold floral motifs and wild colours.

Well, this season Lazy Oaf has taken the chic Melissa Shape mule style from Melissa and given it a groovy fashion twist. Fresh out of the 90s, this Flower Power slip-on with a lightweight block heel is sure to turn heads. Fresh out of a Deee-Lite video, the new Melissa Shape + Lazy Oaf is a fantastic step back in time for the fashion forward.

How to wear such a bold shoe? Our advice is to go for it - wear it with socks and tights, mash up the prints, and celebrate the bold colours and floral appliqué. While each of the 3 shoes is unique, the trick is to take colours from the shoes - black and white; pinks, fluorescent yellows, greens and pinks - and match it to what you wear. Throw on a bold sweater or top with your jeans; rock a pink mini with a cute top and some coloured beads. Or for those who like to let their shoes shine, wear muted summer whites.

It's pretty easy, the key is to just have fun. And be bold.

Still in need of inspo? Why not watch Groove Is In The Heart for some 90s groovilicious fashion fun.
